Package Inclusions

  • 4 Nights luxury train accommodation (private cabin with ensuite).
  • All meals onboard with premium beverages.

  • Airport/train transfers at start and end of journey.

Package Exclusions

  • International or domestic flights not mentioned in itinerary.
  • Personal expenses, gratuities, and optional activities beyond those listed.
  • Travel insurance.

 

 

Additional Information

  • Confirmation will be received at time of booking
  • Don’t forget to bring sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, comfortable clothes and hiking or tennis shoes.
  • Not recommended for travelers with back problems
  • The tour start at 5:30am but the pickup times will be between 4am and 5:30am
  • May be operated, under request by a multi-lingual guide (Spanish and Portuguese)
  • A moderate amount of walking is involved at both attractions.
  • Waiver will need to be signed attesting to good health conditions

 

 

Cancellation Policy

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • The tour start at 5:30am but the pickup times will be between 4am and 5:30am
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
  • This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

Day Wise Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Adelaide – Board The Ghan

  • Arrive at Adelaide Airport.
  • Transfer to the train station and board The Ghan (Adelaide → Alice Springs segment).
  • Welcome drinks and orientation on the train.
  • Evening: Gourmet dinner in the onboard restaurant.
  • Overnight onboard in private cabin.

Highlights: Luxury train experience, panoramic outback views, first night onboard with chef-prepared meals.

Day 2: Journey Through the Red Centre

  • Breakfast in your cabin.
  • Morning scenic journey across Outback plains with informative commentary.
  • Midday: Stop at remote Outback town – optional guided excursion, local Aboriginal cultural experience.
  • Afternoon: Continue through ochre desert landscapes.
  • Evening: Sunset over the Outback while enjoying onboard leisure activities.
  • Dinner and overnight onboard.

Day 3: Arrival in Alice Springs – Guided Excursion

  • Breakfast onboard. Arrival at Alice Springs.
  • Guided half-day Alice Springs excursion:

  • Return to train for next leg towards Darwin.
  • Dinner onboard and overnight in train cabin.

Day 4: Alice Springs → Darwin – Tropical Landscapes

  • Breakfast onboard.
  • Morning journey through deserts, rivers, and eucalyptus forests.
  • Afternoon: Guided off-train excursion at Katherine Gorge (Nitmiluk National Park), optional cruise or hike.
  • Evening: Farewell dinner in the dining car.
  • Overnight onboard.

Day 5: Arrival in Darwin – Departure

  • Breakfast onboard. Arrival at Darwin Station.
  • Transfer to Darwin Airport for onward flight or return home.
